Meet Wilma Plaisier, an extraordinary designer and craftswoman making her mark in the world of Delft Blue. Originally from South Africa, Wilma moved to the Netherlands in 1992. With over 10 years of experience as a pottery painter at Royal Delft, she has profound knowledge of techniques such as Delft Blue and the refined Red-Blue-Gold style. After her time at Royal Delft, she founded her own label, Delfts Plaisier, where she combines traditional motifs with modern interpretations.
As an independent designer and master painter, Wilma collaborates with leading designers like Marcel Wanders, resulting in striking modern pieces that push the boundaries of traditional Delft Blue. Later, she became Head of Design at a Delft Blue pottery company in Putten, where she was responsible for product designs and complex paintings. Her artistic talent and dedication to tradition make Wilma Plaisier a valuable force in ceramics and design.
