From a young age, I was drawing. 24/7. So it came as no surprise that I would go in the creative direction. After completing the Grafisch Lyceum, I started working at various advertising agencies in my then hometown of Eindhoven. I went through all stages of the design and creation process, but my creativity really came to fruition in Amsterdam. There, as an Art-Director, I was confronted with the question of how a message could reach people as clearly and distinctly as possible. The idea, the message, the form everything has to come together in the right way. I have always been guided by simplicity and clarity. Every line, every image has to hit the mark. Only then can something really resonate with people. That has shaped my way of thinking. Also in my art.
